Sutera Harbour Resort

Sutera Harbour Resort is believed to be the first fully integrated resort in Asia.

The uniqueness of the resort lies in its close proximity to the city centre which is only five minutes’ drive away and that the entire 155 hectares site is reclaimed from the sea.

The bulk of the fill material was sea sand dredged from navigational channels which the Department of Port and Harbour had intended to deepen and widen.

Work on the resort started with the construction of the 27-hole golf course in 1995, followed closely by the Marina, the Golf Clubhouse, the Yacht Clubhouse, the Business Hotel (Pacific Wing) and finally ending in 2000, with the completion of the Resort Hotel (Magellan Wing).

Nexus Karambunai

The Karambunai Peninsula is approximately 30 kilometres north of Kota Kinabalu.

Despite being so close to the city, the site has dense tropical rainforest on its hills flanked by white sandy beaches and a pristine saltwater lagoon.

By hinging the project’s success on the quality of its surroundings, the development naturally takes the
course of careful planning and implementation.

A 5 Star resort beach hotel and an 18–hole golf course was completed in 1999 with ongoing plans for expansion.
